A number of industry workers visited the Construction Materials and Techniques subject on 15 November to show the students how to work with used materials both in interior design and wood and plasterboard. The Espais-D Fusta company from Manlleu assembled a self-supporting wood structure, with frameworks and wooden ply systems. The Offinet company, a one-stop engineering, architecture and interiors technical consultancy, assembled a continuous plasterboard and wood wool partition wall. The students were able to discover for themselves the materials, how to handle them and the technologies used for the construction of these different materials.
