The colloquium “Pastoral Futures. Wool Migrations”, organised by Materfad, Barcelona Materials Centre in collaboration with EINA, will take place on Thursday 11 January at 6.30 p.m. in the Foyer of Disseny Hub Barcelona, located on the fourth floor.
Taking advantage of the last days of the opening of the exhibition "Pastoral Futures. Wool Migrations" we will bring together Dutch artist and activist Claudy Jongstra, and Anna Vivero, one of the leaders of the project "Tornen les esquelles", with five experts from different fields to discuss the environmental, cultural and economic unsustainability related to the disappearance of pastoralism, as well as the potential of wool to shape alternative futures in the context of pastoralism.
The colloquium will feature Angel Amurrio (Entheos), Fernando García Dory (Inland), Gemma Salvador (Llanatura) and Vicente Guallart (IAAC - Valldaura Labs), who will be introduced and led by Robert D. Thompson (Materfad) and Pilar Cortada (EINA).
