Last April 30th, within the course Properties and Uses of New Materials Ignasi Cubiñá, co-founder of the company EIG (eco intelligent growth), gave a talk entitled "circular economy implemented according to the Cradle to Cradle , design for abundance," where he discussed the principles of circular economy, the role of design and the role of the designer in the current environment. Adapting to the context; "Re-materializing" design without de-materializing it, as nature has always done and does; concepts such as the triple bottom line of good design (design of attractive products, maximizing the benefit to all stakeholders and designing products compatible with the environment) are some of the topics discussed and exemplified with case studies. The circular model, based on the philosophy and principles of Cradle to Cradle , must flee from the current linear model in mind today, avoiding dependencies.
