Cartographic Happening
EINA Espai Barra de Ferro
Inauguration 17 June, from 6 pm to 8.30 pm
Exhibition from Tuesday 11 to 21 June
Next 17 June sees the inauguration of the exhibition entitled “Cartographic Happening. Network Benchmarks. Present Design Map”, a project open to participation by the public.
You are invited to take part in the benchmark map of present design that we are building at EINA Espai Barra de Ferro.
Students on the third year of the EINA Design Degree have constructed a map of current benchmarks in design, taking as yardstick the distributed network structure inherent in the creation of collective knowledge that we observe in our more immediate cultural contexts. The aim has been to offer a non-linear overview of the most significant aspects of contemporary design and its interconnections.
The public can take part throughout the exhibition, offering new data and relationships. On Monday 17th at 6 pm, the third-year students will be conducting a group action, establishing conceptual relationship bridges and highlighting the relationships that constitute the network.
