The illustrator Carmen Segovia will talk about how to approach her projects, her experience and her latest works in a talk, within the framework of the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques.
Carmen Segovia (Barcelona, 1978) grew up between Cerdanyola and the Tabernas desert in Almería. After working in cinema and design, she opted for illustration to make this her main work. She specialized in illustration in Llotja and EINA, where she took the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques.
In her work as an illustrator, she combines collaborations with publishing houses and international press. She also develops series of drawings and personal stories. Each project is for her the opportunity to create a new narrative fiction within her unique visual world. "Lengua de lava" was her last solo exhibition at the Galería Vertigo in Mexico City. She has published comics with La Cúpula, Fosfatina and Blackie Books.
