Next March 2nd, at 7pm at Ateneu Barcelonès, will take place the roundtable on Brossa's work in typography and on the influence he had in the graphic design world. Participating will be Enric Jardí, graphic designer and coordinator of the Master in Advanced Typography at EINA; Pere Marquillas, graphic designer (Fons Gràfic); Joan M. Minguet, Art History professor at (UAB) and president of the Catalan Association of Art Critics (ACCA), and Glòria Bordons, director of the Fundació Joan Brossa.
"The creative activity of Brossa, maverick and with great coherence, has as central expression in a very personal conception of poetry; as a practical research on language and more generally, as a communication codification.
"Through an ironic game that uses contextualization , the rejection of the distinction between word and object is solved both through basic phonetic wordplay as in the so-called 'visual poetry' - and the free association, Brossa builds a personal world of a radical materialism, which disrupts the perception of reality"
