Anna Alcubierre, founder and director of alcubierrestudio and director of the Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning in Exhibitions. Curation and Design, will give a lecture on eco-design in exhibition spaces at La Pedrera, as part of the 9th Cultural Heritage Conference. The conference will take place on October 16, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Her talk, titled Criteris ecològics als espais expositius, will focus on designing sustainable exhibitions, with special attention to temporary ones, which generate large amounts of waste and consume resources with a high environmental cost. The goal is to present practical strategies to create more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly spaces without compromising quality or visitor experience.
The conference will bring together experts in heritage and sustainability to share experiences and reflections on how the climate crisis is transforming cultural heritage management. Topics will include environmental quality in cultural facilities, preventive conservation, integrating sustainable practices in museums such as MACBA or Empúries, and strategies to adapt cultural spaces to the new climate context.
