Andreu Balius, typographer and professor of the Bachelor of Design, is taking part in the 13th Meeting of Typography, which is being held from 23 to 25 November in Lisbon (Portugal), with the aim of bringing together leading people and projects in the typographic panorama to disseminate research and technical knowledge; to promote learning, inspiration and critical thinking; and to contribute to the debate and development of ideas in Typography and Typographic Design.
In addition, Andreu Balius took part in the 7th International Symposium on Typography in the Book held on 27 October in Ciudad Juárez (Mexico), with a talk entitled "Rethinking typeface design: font design with social value".
The typographer and typeface designer has also recently won an Honorable mention at the 2023 OESOL International Typography Awards in Ulsan (South Korea) with the Salmantina typeface.
