"Rear window is an outsourced project consisting in a series of projections in the open public space, in neighborhoods of the center of Barcelona. The particularity is that the videos are projected from the windows of different houses and apartments, owned by private citizens, into neighbor’s façades and can be contemplated by other neighbors, from their own homes, as well as by crossing street occasional visitors. The fact of including the streets and places that usually do not host audiovisual projects, seeks to reveal the importance of the intervention, a relevant edge within contemporary art, that deserves to be treated and offered in return to common city day-life, as it is portrayed in this project.
The selection of the chosen pieces was done within an open call to audiovisual projects that act in close relationship with neighborhoods and its inhabitants.
