Artur Muñoz

Artur Muñoz

PhD in Philosophy from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Eina.
University Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Eina.
Graduate in Photography and Digital Creation from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

His professional career began in 2001 as a freelance photographer. In 2004 he founded the interdisciplinary studio Porcuatro together with Antoni Pallejà, Marcel Juan and Jofre Sanfeliu, where he works as a photographer and creative artist. His work in the studio has been recognised with several Lux, LAUS and DELTA awards, among others.

From 2010 there is a change in his professional activity, and he focuses his activity on university teaching at Eina, first as an associate professor and since 2012 as PDI.

At the same time, he began a rather original career in artistic curatorship, profoundly influenced by his career at the Porcuatro studio. He acts as a curator/creative director, leading teams so that each exhibition becomes an artistic project in its own right. This approach allows him to establish innovative links between curatorial practice and artistic practice, generating coherent narratives at the service of projects of different kinds, both those focused on the artistic fact, and others, closer to education and social transformation.
