Enric Font and Artur Muñoz, teachers on the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, have published the article "New relationship models: the Education Service of the Arranz-Bravo Foundation and the La Carpa School" in the Her&Mus. Heritage & Museography journal of the Specific Educational Methodologies Department of Lleida University.
The text introduces a new proposal of relationship between museums and schools through an specific case that will work as an example: the Tàndem project developed to implement a program of visual arts and art education in Escola La Carpa, in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, by the Educational Department of Fundació Arranz-Bravo.
The two authors have both designed and are currently executing the project. Artur Muñoz, here as the responsible for the Educational Department of Fundació Arranz-Bravo, focuses on proposing and contextualizing this new relationship model between museums and society, addressing the reasons for change and pointing out the story line of the case study. Enric font, artist and teacher, analyzes the content and the work of implementing new pedagogies in the drawing field; this has been carried out at the school during the last six months.
The text shows the entire spectrum of the project, since the detection of the school needs to the responses offered by the cultural equipment. The article focuses on the practical and pedagogical view of its implementation through drawing at the school as a tool for thinking. The methodological characteristic is to use the educational center as a laboratory.
