Bernat Amate, and Ester Casademont, former students of EINA Degree in Design, present the projects Design to Live at EDIVI, Museum of Design's exhibition, during the Barcelona Design Week.

Ester Casademont reperents EINA at the [exhibition of design projects to live, carried out by the design schools of the EDIVI group] (http://ajuntament.barcelona.cat/museudeldisseny/ca/activitat/edivi-educacio-al-disseny-viure-disseny-la-transformacio-social) at the Documentation Center's hall of the Design Museum. The project is called Fill the Gaps, and has the participation of the community o the recycling process of glass and its transformation in creative design for public spaces.

Bernat Amate will present his new project Plantejament de revitalització del barri de Montbau on the 13th of june, at 6 PM, at the Documentation Centre of the Museum of Design, within the programmed activities of the EDIVI group. Amate describes his project: "Participative methods and social innovation is one of the ways with which design can reinforce social fabric, and improve citizen's life quality".


EDIVI is a group of Higher Education Schools that work together, with the aim of promoting design for social innovation and sustainability through collaborative work with citizen communities and other agents involved in these issues.

The specific goals of the group are:

  • Promote more sustainable ways of life for cities and territories.
  • Identify, disclosure, and intensify, through design, communities' initiatives.
  • Promote the raising of awareness of the students of the impact that design can have on communities as well as taking part in projects outside the classroom.
  • Promote the collaboration between high education schools and teachers interested in the design for social innovation and sustainability.
  • Find collaborations in the general context of social innovation and other disciplines (sociology, social psychology, entrepreneurship, etc.)
