As part of the Specialisation Course in Illustration for Children's and Teenagers' Publications, Joan Negrescolor will be taking a journey through a number of projects over the last five years, sailing an oceanic trade, where he will speak of his career, with its mistakes and successes, the milestones that have cropped up, including his time in different formations, fairs, specific works, experiences, etc.
Joan Negrescolor studied illustration at the Escola Massana, from where he graduated in 2003, and in 2012 he studied on the Specialisation Course in Illustration for Children's and Teenagers' Publications at EINA. In the last two years, he set his sights on children’s publishing with the fortune of meeting up with the editors at Media Vaca, with whom he has enjoyed unexpected recognition.
“Drawing for children is an act of frankness with yourself. When what you’re drawing tells more things than they portray graphically, when the pictures speak of who you are and how you understand the things that surround you. And when all that sets in motion the intellectual and emotional mechanism of what you see, read and examine, that’s illustration.”
