EINA Bosc. Programmatic notes collects and presents the key ideas of the refurbishment and opening project of EINA Bosc. The publication includes two critical essays by Pau de Solà-Morales, director of EINA Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona, and Manuel Cirauqui, director of Eina Idea. The aim of the publication is to provide an in-depth look at the history of the building, the process of adapting the space and how it fits into the current ecological and geopolitical context, as well as the future approach to EINA's academic and cultural programme. The publication also aims to offer a visual journey through the different phases and periods of the building, including the renovation process initiated by the EINA Foundation in July 2020.
The booklet was conceived as a DIY publication, to be downloaded and circulated freely and to be printed at home. Hence, certain graphic elements reinforce the idea of a design that can be customised for personal use.
Those who wish to have a physical copy can print the document and bind it themselves, making their own specific formal choices (color vs. black and white; paper quality; etc.). The document is intended for A4 format, and a spiral binding is recommended, although different possibilities can be explored, such as a stapled or sewn spine.
