Xavier Mora

He graduated in industrial design from Elisava, Faculty of Design and Engineering of Barcelona, attached to the University of Vic.
Bachelor's of Arts and Honours from the University of Southampton, UK.
Master's Degree in Animation and 3D from FAK School of Art, Barcelona.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Ceramists of La Bisbal d'Empordà. Member of the BCD, Barcelona Centre de Disseny, and the Barcelona Design and Innovation Cluster. He has been a member of other organisations such as FAD Barcelona and ADP in Andorra.

Teaching

Since 2004, he has combined his design work with teaching at various educational and university centres, including EINA, the Universitat Carlemany in Andorra, Elisava and the University of Girona.

Professional experience

He has been working as a designer, editor and entrepreneur since 2002 as co-founder of the BAG Disseny studio, based in Barcelona, Andorra and Girona.

In 2014 he co-founded the Livingthings objects editor with the aim of recovering processes and materials from craftsmanship to generate respectful and sustainable design objects.

Throughout his long career, he has had the opportunity to work and collaborate with entities, companies, startups and associations of different sizes and orientations, helping to conceptualise and formalise projects and products.

Awards 

Both at the BAG Disseny studio and at Livingthings, he has received numerous awards in the world of design. These include gold at the Red Dot Awards and the German Design Awards, gold at the SIT Furniture Awards and silver at the IDA Design Awards, both in Los Angeles, bronzes at the LAUS Awards and DELTA Awards in Barcelona, gold at the Arts Directors Club of Europe, gold at the European Design Awards, bronzes at the LICC Awards in London, bronze at the NYCxDesign Awards.
