Architect and lighting designer trained in Uruguay and specialised in lighting design in Italy (Master’s Degree in Lighting Design & LED Technology, Politecnico di Milano). He develops his practice in international contexts, combining lighting design, project management and teaching.
He approaches light as a project-based language, in direct relation to space, experience and narrative. This perspective is complemented by a personal artistic practice in photography as a tool for visual research.
Teaching / Research
Lecturer in Lighting Project within the Interior Design programme at IED Barcelona (2025–present), where he supports students in the development of projects through a conceptual, technical and experiential approach.
He has collaborated as a lecturer at BCN Retail School in a visual merchandising course, addressing lighting as a tool for visual narrative and the construction of atmospheres in commercial spaces. His teaching practice is supported by photography as a tool for analysis and visual research.
Professional experience
Since 2014, he has developed his professional activity at iGuzzini, where he has worked at the headquarters in Recanati and at the Milan and Barcelona branches. He is currently Lighting Solutions Team Manager at iGuzzini Ibérica, leading the lighting projects department and participating in national and international projects in fields such as historic buildings, museums, offices, retail, residential, façades and urban space.
He collaborates with Línea Atelier on lighting projects for restaurants and luxury residences, integrating concept, architecture and experience.
Awards
A regular speaker at professional conferences and sector-specific events, including the CEI National Lighting Symposium (Cartagena 2022, Huesca 2023, Valencia 2024) and the CATE 2024 Congress – Comfort at Extremes. He also takes part in outreach activities and collaborations with academic institutions.
