Marta Florensa, lighting designer based in Barcelona. She trained in Interior Design at BAU between 2002 and 2006. In 2014 she completed the Lighting Design I–II course at Elisava, and between 2017 and 2018 she studied the Master in Architectural Lighting Design at the UPC. From the beginning, her career has revolved around architectural lighting.
Teaching / Research
She has taught at the UPC between 2020 and 2022 with the masterclass “Luz sobre espacio”. During the 2020 - 2021 academic year she taught at Eina, in the Degree in Interior Design, with the subject “Luz material de creación”. Between 2019 and 2021 she taught at Elisava, also in the Degree in Interior Design, with “Initiation to lighting calculations”. In teaching, she focuses on the lighting project process: reading the space, defining objectives, proposal criteria and verification through calculations and documentation.
Professional activity
She is currently the founder of Claro Studio, where she develops lighting projects for all types of spaces. Her activity includes comprehensive lighting design, sizing and implementation, lighting calculations, luminaire prescription and work monitoring, generating the necessary documentation for implementation.
Between 2018 and 2023 she was part of La Invisible Studio as Senior Lighting Designer, participating in architecture, museography, heritage, urban planning and landscaping projects. During 2024, he collaborated with the Licht Kunst Licht Hub BCN studio as a Senior Lighting Designer, participating in the development of several projects. He has also acquired previous experience in different lighting distributor showrooms, reinforcing product knowledge and its application in the project, and regularly works in coordination with architecture and interior design teams.
