Mariya Alipieva

Graduate in Fine Arts and Master's Degree in Artistic Production and Research from the University of Barcelona. Technician in Artistic Ceramics from the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Palma de Mallorca.

Teaching

She has taught classes and workshops at EINA, at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Escuela de Arte de Menorca (Maó), Illa Escuela de Arte y Diseño de Sabadell and Oslo Graphic Barceloneta, an independent space of which she was co-founder and president between 2013 and 2019.

Professional experience

She works on multidisciplinary projects, which explore the intimate relationship between the individual and her environment and, at the same time, invites the public to reflect on the acts and routines of everyday life. Her work has been included in exhibitions and contemporary art fairs in Spain, Italy, Germany, the UK, the USA and the Republic of Korea.

Her recent activity includes the First Prize at the XII International Ceramics Biennial of Vendrell (2022) and the Honourable Mention at the Korean International Ceramic Biennale (Republic of Korea, 2021). He has also been a finalist in the 41st International Ceramics Competition of l'Alcora (2022), The Third Blanc de Chine International Ceramic Art Award (China, 2022) and the XV International Ceramics Biennale of Manises (2021). Some of her projects have been awarded for solo exhibition in 2023 at Yingee Ceramics Museum (Taiwan, 2021) and exhibition production and training in visual arts (Island Council of Menorca, 2021).
