Teaching
Mariona has been teaching for 20 years in different art and design schools and universities in Barcelona.
At EINA, she has been directing Experimental Workshop II for 15 years (where author projects of illustrated albums have been developed, some of which have subsequently been published by publishers).
She has also run her own art and creativity workshops for women for the last 15 years and has collaborated on numerous occasions in events related to the world of illustration, giving workshops, masterclasses, talks, etc.
Professional Activity / Research
She studied illustration at the Escola Massana in Barcelona (extraordinary prize in her class) and did a postgraduate degree in illustration and engraving at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg.
In addition to having worked for 20 years as an illustrator in the publishing, press, and advertising sector, her work can also be found applied to all kinds of products: types of vinyl, wine labels, games, puzzles, textiles...
She also works in large format on paper and fabric, mixing painting and embroidery.
She started tattooing a few years ago, bringing the universe and aesthetics of his work to the skin. For the last 4 years, she has been doing this part of her work in the Void Tattoo studio in Barcelona.
As an illustrator, she works for two illustration agencies, in Barcelona and New York.
Publications
She has published more than 80 illustrated albums -many of them translated into several languages and published in different countries- and countless textbooks (bibliography on his website).
