Inauguration of EINA Bosc

On Friday 1st April we will officially inaugurated EINA Bosc. These new facilities are presented with the ambition of being a transforming agent and an expression of educational, cultural and social commitment.

During the day there were several events that took place in the new building and that together made up the programme of this inaugural day.

Institutional act

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture, Mr. Miquel Iceta; the Councillor for Research and Universities, Ms. Gemma Geis; the Mayor's Tinent of Culture and Education, Mr. Jordi Martí; and representatives of the main cultural institutions and entities.

The event was chaired by Miquel Molins, President of the board of the EINA Foundation, accompanied by Pau de Solà-Morales, Director of EINA; Manuel Cirauqui, Director of EINA Idea; and Eva Parés, Operational Director of EINA.

Emboscada #4: Sociedad 0

Coinciding with the inauguration of the building and as part of the Ambushes programme, at 2 p.m. the Sociedad 0 project was presented, which reflects on the concepts of communal living-working and food management through the new building of EINA Bosc and the possible configurations of a canteen, pantry, kitchen, action space and collective partition. Understanding these functions fluidly, in the midst of significant and material processes, they imagine transformable circulations and compositions onsite.

The project, directed by Sara Torres and Èlia Bagó of Sociedad 0, has been carried out with the involvement of the students Laura Bueno, Berta Casas and Eva Ramón of the subject "Workspaces Design" of the Bachelor of Design at EINA, and the complicity of the designer Tomás López, professor of the subject; also in preparatory dialogue with the artists Jordi Colomer and Antoni Miralda.

Opening party: SPRINGY

In the evening, the opening party of EINA Bosc took place. Under the concept SPRINGY, it featured performances and DJ sets by Mariona Moranta, Samba Injai, MANSO O, vonvon and Synthetic Flower who took the space, the ecosystem and its agents as protagonists.

The word SPRINGY designates resilient behaviour, that which is capable of re-emerging. It also evokes landscapes rich in springs, places where flows can spring up from any corner. EINA Bosc is undoubtedly a resilient place, a place of fluids and emergencies.
