The students of the Bachelor's Degree in Design 3, specializing in product design, a second-year course led by Jordi Pla, visited the Masia HP Experience Design Center, a global innovation and design center in Spain that the American multinational HP Inc has in Sant Cugat del Vallès. This visit marked the beginning of the first collaboration between Eina and HP 3D Printing, in which, based on the particularities of 3D printing, students designed accessories for drones that carry out very specific missions in a wide variety of environments.
After this initial phase of work, the HP 3D Printing team visited Eina to see firsthand the projects developed by the students. In this meeting, the students presented their designs, explaining the creative and technical processes they carried out to adapt the 3D printed components to the drones of Serveo and UAV Works, HP's clients. The exchange with HP professionals allowed students to receive direct feedback on their proposals and gain a better understanding of the real-world applications of 3D printing in the industry.
The project has been promoted by Sonia López, an Eina alumna and part of the marketing team at HP 3D Printing, Clara María Quinquilla from HP 3D Printing and Javier Nieto from Eina, establishing this collaboration as a practical learning model that connects academia with the needs of technology companies.
