HP and Eina: creation of accessories for drones

Students of the Bachelor of Design in Project Design 3, specialising in product design, a second-year subject led by Jordi Pla, recently visited the HP Experience Design Center, a global centre for innovation and design in Spain that the American multinational HP Inc has in Sant Cugat del Vallés.

The HP Experience Design Center is a leading international hub in the field of digital design, aimed at optimising the company's printing and personal systems businesses and developing new products and services. Here, the students visited the main additive manufacturing department for HP at this facility.

In this first collaboration between Eina and HP, it has been proposed that, using the unique capabilities of 3D printing, the students will create accessories for drones that carry out very specific missions in an infinite number of environments.

The collaboration between Eina and HP 3D Printing extends to the company’s Serveo and UAV Works, HP customers, which manufacture the drones on which the students will adapt the 3D printed components based on the ideas they have developed. The project has been promoted by Clara María Quinquilla from HP 3D Printing and Javier Nieto from Eina.
