EINA presents "ÀNIMA" at Llum BCN 2021

"ÀNIMA" (SOUL) is the project carried out by the students of the Bachelor of Design at EINA for Llum BCN 2021, the Festival of the Luminous Arts that will be held from 5 to 7 November at the Parc del Centre del Poblenou (Av. Diagonal, 130) from 7pm to 12pm.

"ÀNIMA" is a tribute to the origins of the Poblenou neighbourhood, which from the early 19th century became the most important industrial power in Barcelona and Catalonia, and which has been transformed into an important artistic and cultural enclave in the city. To emulate this reminiscence of the past, one of the three most symbolic chimneys of all the factories in the area has been reproduced.

The installation transports us to the soul of Poblenou. The transparent material used allows the spectator to immerse into this context. The smoke that emerges from the interior is both a reminder of the industrial beginnings and a symbolism of the liberation from the environmental impact produced by the factories (pollution, noise...).

"ÀNIMA" is an installation created by the Creative Labs subject in the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Design, tutored by Alex Posada and Santi Vilanova, with the collaboration of Ferroluar and Hangar.org, and with the support of MID Studio, Sumeplast and SAKMA.

The participating students are: Laura Balsa, Sara Barrull, Sonia Bragulat, Raquel Calvo, Noelia Candon, Irene Díaz, Maria del Mar Disbrey, Marc Donaire, Laura Estrany, Nohely Belen Guerra, Aurea Heras, Guillem Hernández, Carolina Herrero, Clara Isern, Anna Mas, Alicia Moral, Beatriz Naranjo, Marie Elisabeth Oehm, Júlia Piñana, Eliseu Poch, Paula Tañá, David Torras, Marc Rovira.
