Documentary on the exhibition ‘Teaching is learning’ 2024

To celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the births of Albert Ràfols Casamada and Maria Girona, the EINA Foundation is pleased to present the documentary on the exhibition ‘Teaching is learning’, which offers a unique perspective on their pedagogical contributions and connections with EINA since its founding in 1967.

The documentary features participation from designers, artists, and teachers such as Rubén Alcaraz, Josep Aregall, Francesc Artigau, Josep Bagà, Roser Bofill, Victoria Combalia, Miquel Molins, Xavier Olivé, and Alfons Tost. Production and editing were done by Javier Garriga, and the script was written by Xavier Olivé.

As it investigates the history of EINA, the film takes a tour of the exhibition through the works of art of the Heritage Collection along with documents, photographs, and audiovisual pieces from the school’s Historical Archive while crafting a timeline marked by art and design studies, workshops, conferences and seminars, exhibitions, and performances.

The exhibition ‘Teaching is learning’, which was held in May 2023 at EINA’s headquarters and occupied all the common spaces of the Sentmenat Palace in Barcelona, also featured guided visits by its curators and drawing and floral art workshops.
