Teaching is learning 2023

The exhibition Teaching is learning is a tribute to Albert Ràfols Casamada and Maria Girona, two of the most outstanding Catalan painters of their generation, humanists and educators and founders of EINA.

This exhibition commemorates the centenary of the birth of both artists, and is an initiative that forms part of a series of activities organised by the EINA Foundation, the Bassat Foundation and the Vila Casas Foundation.

The exhibition focuses on their pedagogical contribution as directors and trustees of the EINA Foundation between 1967 and 2009. Emphasis is placed on the subjects they taught in the Design studies, as well as through the Art studies.

The exhibition brings together works from the art collection of the EINA Foundation, as well as an extensive sample of material from the EINA Archive that summarises the performances, exhibitions, pedagogical initiatives through photographs, manuscript documents, posters and audiovisuals.

Teaching is learning will be open from 9 May to 9 June and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm, and Saturday from 10am to 1.30pm at EINA Sentmenat (Passeig Santa Eulàlia, 25).
