La Badalona, històries en femení is the result of a process of collaboration with a group of 15 women who have migrated from different countries and now share the same context: the neighbourhoods of La Salud and the surroundings of Badalona. A practical project in which design is presented as a mediating tool in search of changes and reactions.
The project has been structured around this group of 15 women, members of the Fundació Salut Alta de Badalona where they receive training in the language as well as accompaniment and support. Within this framework, a joint process of research and dynamics has been carried out to detect real and sincere needs that can be resolved through the skills provided by the design tool.
Throughout the process, we have been dealing with skills such as identity, decision-making, a critical eye... always in relation to the environment, defending the right to belong and to feel at home.
This whole process has finally been transformed into a design opportunity that has taken the form of a street-level campaign. An activist gesture from the women towards the neighbourhood with the intention of making this collective visible and empowering at the same time as humanising the neighbourhood and seeking a more positive, or at least a different, view of this community.
