Lavínia Mayer

Bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from UAB in 1998. Master’s degree in Archaeology and Rock Art Anthropology from the University of Southampton (1998-1999), with research focused on the interpretation of Levantine art and how to make it attractive and accessible to the public. Bachelor’s degree in History from UAB in 2001.

Professional experience

Her professional career in the field of museology began in 1999 and has developed as a scriptwriter, consultant, and coordinator of exhibition projects. Her experience includes various roles: freelance collaboration with public and private institutions, the development of her own museology company, and teamwork within an institution.

As part of an institution, she led the exhibitions department at the Museum of Water from 2003 to 2005, and since 2017, she has been working at the "la Caixa" Foundation as a project coordinator, focusing on the creation of traveling exhibitions for the different CaixaForum centers in Spain.
