Laia Gómez Xaudiera

Graduate in Interior Design at Elisava, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, 2003.

Graduate in Technical Architecture and Building at the Barcelona Polytechnic School of Construction (EPSEB) by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 2019.

Postgraduate in Quantity Surveying at the College of Technical Architecture of Barcelona (CATEB), 2022.

Teaching

Associate lecturer at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) from the academic year 2020-2021 where she teaches at the Barcelona Polytechnic School of Construction (EPSEB) in the subjects of "Budgeting and cost control", "Workshop 4: Building analysis" and "Construction cost management".

In addition, she has co-directed Degree Final Projects and Master's Degree Final Projects and has participated as a lecturer in the University Master's Degree in Diagnosis and Intervention Techniques in Building.

Professional experience

She has worked as an interior designer in architectural offices such as BOPBAA formed by the architects Josep Bohigas, Francesc Pla and Iñaki Baquero, participating in the extension works of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, or in the architectural workshop 2Pd of the architect Claudio Carmona with the participation, in both single-family home architecture projects and retail projects with national and international firms such as Rosa Clara, AIRE Barcelona, Cabotine, FDS or Zaida jewellery, and in interior design offices carrying out refurbishment projects in residential homes.

Currently, she combines teaching with the practice of liberal technical architect, executing projects of restoration and rehabilitation of buildings, collaborating in the drafting of projects, in the Direction of Work Execution, in the realization of measurements and budgets and in the management of costs.
