Graduate in Literature (Central University of Venezuela) and Master's in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary Film (Autonomous University of Barcelona). Writer, screenwriter, and children's book author whose work has focused on the intersection of narrative, image, and education.
Teaching and Research
He has taught the course Multimedia Editing of Educational Content in the Master’s Program in Publishing at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2017–2023). He has also conducted creative documentary workshops for the Catalan Federation of Film Clubs (2005). Focusing on children’s literature and short fiction, he taught a literature course at Simón Bolívar University (Caracas, 2000).
As part of the PhD Program in Humanities (UAB), he was an FPI Research Fellow for the Government of Catalonia (2005–2007) with the project: Images and Engravings of the Bandit: A Study of Chapbook Ballads Published in Catalonia in the 19th Century.
At the Banco del Libro (Caracas, 1995–2000), he worked as a researcher at the Center for the Study and Promotion of Children’s and Young Adult Books (CEPLIJ), where he also coordinated specialized publications such as Tres Estrellas y más, Parapara Clave, and Formemos Lectores, all devoted to the analysis and dissemination of picture books in Latin America.
Professional activity
He has worked as a comedy writer for radio and television and collaborated on audiovisual and communication projects with various companies and cultural organizations. He was Head of the Audiovisual Department at the digital educational publishing house Science Bits (2012–2019). He has also written scripts for documentary films, including El secreto del Dr. Grinberg (Polar Star Films, 2020) and The Kingdom of Mister Edhi (Lastor Media, 2011).
He is currently working as a scriptwriter for educational video games (serious games).
