Arnau Horta

Arnau Horta (Barcelona, 1977) is a curator, critic, researcher, and teacher. Both in his curatorial activity and in his work in the field of research and dissemination, he is mainly concerned with sound and listening in its phenomenological and political dimension. He is currently studying for a doctorate in philosophy at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

She has collaborated with the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS), the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), the Fundació Joan Miró, the Museu Picasso de Barcelona, the Max Planck Institute (Berlin), the video art festival Loop and Bòlit. Centre d'Art Contemporani de Girona, among other centres, festivals and cultural initiatives. In 2020, he received the GAC award for best curator of the year for the exhibition "Art Sonor?", presented at the Fundació Miró and sponsored by the BBVA Foundation.

As a teacher, he has collaborated with universities and educational centres such as Virginia Tech, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Elisava, Institut d'Humanitats de Barcelona, and ESDi. He is a contributor to the cultural supplements Cultura/s (La Vanguardia), Babelia (El País), and Núvol, where he writes on art, thought, and contemporary culture.
