Research Dialogues is a series of bimonthly meetings between Eina researchers that seek to promote the open exchange of ideas, joint reflection and the strengthening of knowledge, methodologies and research processes in, from and through design that are carried out at Eina.
Each session is organized and led by one of the 5 mentions that make up Eina Bachelor of Design - Spaces, Culture, Visual Creation, Graphics and Product - opening the dialogue between researchers from different areas and levels of experience and fostering interdepartmental collaboration. The sessions are open to the entire Eina community, fostering a collective learning ecosystem that allows the diversity of active research lines to be given visibility.
The objectives of Research Dialogues are:
- Contextualize the research processes at Eina in relation to their theoretical, methodological, ethical and technical frameworks, to enrich the debate on contemporary research practices in the field of Art and Design.
- Map the research approaches and methodologies present in the Eina community, identifying affinities, synergies and emerging lines.
- Promote a culture of critical and situated research, which not only shares results, but also questions the conditions, policies and effects of knowledge production.
- Promote transdisciplinary co-research spaces, identifying opportunities for collaborative projects between departments or with external agents (other centres, communities, networks, etc.).
- Promote mutual training between researchers, documenting and systematizing learning from the meetings, so that they can feed future institutional research policies or strategies.
