Ona Harster

Bachelor’s Degree in Spatial Design, Eina (UAB). 

Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Architecture-Barcelona, ETSAB (with honors). 

Lecturer and researcher at Eina (UAB) in the fields of projects related to spatial design and performative design.

She also teaches in the Private Perimeters Master’s Program and in the Master in Bar and Restaurant Design at Elisava. 

Her interests range from architecture and interior design to cinema and the visual arts, with a special focus on the relationship between lived space and the body of its inhabitants. In recent years, she has explored craftsmanship, especially basketry, which was the subject of her master’s dissertation. 

Professional activity

She began her professional career at the Dutch office Marc Koehler Architects, where she specialized in the design of domestic spaces within CPO (Collective Private Client Commissioning) projects. 

During her time as a designer at the Catalan interior design studio Piedra Papel Tijera, she worked on the brand identity design project for Boldú and took part in several retail projects in Barcelona. She was also responsible for the art direction of the ECIB Film School. 

She led the interior design area at b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos, where, among other projects, she was part of the design team for the Nou Camp Nou, the renovation of the Novartis offices, and the new Blue Tech Port project for innovation companies at the Port of Barcelona. She was also responsible for conceptualizing the Flea Architecture exhibition, carried out by b720 during the UIA World Congress of Architects. 

As an art director, she actively collaborates with the family business La Cistelleria, located in La Garrotxa, where she works on product photography, web identity, and brand social media management. 

She has entered the field of industrial furniture as a Senior Designer at the furniture company Kettal, where she has contributed to the creation of the brand’s showrooms in Milan and Paris, and has been in charge of the 2025 Milan Furniture Fair together with Patricia Urquiola Studio.
