Graduate in Art History from the Universitat de Barcelona. He began as a cartoonist in the 1970s in the so-called "Comix Underground", later moving on to illustration and advertising.
Professional Activity
Self-taught, Rubiales collaborated in magazines such as Star, El Viejo Topo and La Calle. However, he has also published several monographs: La mano asesina, Estómago eléctrico and Propaganda moderna.
In 1982 he took part in an exhibition organised by the Banco Exterior de España with a collage entitled "Catalunya vista des de l'exterior". An exponent of the underground comics of the 1970s, his activity has evolved towards a neo-constructivist synthesis of design and painting.
