Creative Director with a remarkable portfolio spanning almost 20 years, showcasing her expertise in packaging, merchandising, and branding across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. Recognized for her strategic thinking and exceptional execution, she consistently delivers distinctive and memorable projects by combining determination with a holistic approach that considers diverse cultural perspectives and social needs.

Founder of Niccoli.Design, a boutique branding firm based in Shanghai specialising in crafting narratives seamlessly (be it packaging, visual assets, or brand identity) for global companies to help them navigate into the Chinese and SEA markets. In 2023 Niccoli.Design expanded its operations to Barcelona, with a focus on the EMEA market.

Having lived and worked in various countries, including Italy, the UK, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, before finally settling in Spain, she brings a multicultural perspective to her work. Her professional experience boasts collaborations with a range of entities, from startups to multinational giants such as STARBUCKS, FRIESLAND CAMPINA, VENCHI, AUTOGRILL and PININFARINA. Her professional journey reflects a diverse and insightful approach to design.

Awards

“Design and Build for All” (2008): Ilaria Niccoli won the first prize of the Italian national contest promoted by Autogrill. The focus of the contest was to design a public toilet with inclusivity and Design for All principles. Some of her project solutions were implemented in Autogrill Villoresi Est, a service station near Milan, which follows principles of sustainability, energy efficiency, and accessibility.
