Guillem Comas

BA in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), 2007.

Master’s Degree in Contemporary Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (UB), 2011. Film Directing at FX Barcelona Film School, 2016. Editing and Post-Production at Estudio de Cine, 2015.

Diplomas in Film and TV Workflows, Camera Operation for Video and Television, Digital Cinematography, and Post-Production with Nuke from CIFO L’Hospitalet, completed between 2018 and 2021.

Professional Certificate in Editing with Avid Media Composer from CIFO L’Hospitalet, 2022. DaVinci Resolve Certified Trainer with Blackmagic Design, 2025.

Teaching

Lecturer at FX Barcelona Film School since 2009. Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Editing and Film Editing and lecturer in the Film Department, teaching Film Language, Film Editing, Sound Seminar, Post-Production with DaVinci Resolve, Editing with Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer, and Documentary Seminar.

He has also taught on the Professional Film Editing Course and the Audiovisual Post-Production Techniques: Film and TV Workflows course at CIFO L’Hospitalet. He has taught DaVinci Resolve editing courses at the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB). He also has more than 15 years of teaching experience at Escola Traç, Centre d’Expressió Plàstica.

Professional Experience

He works as a film editor, camera operator and director of photography on a range of national and international productions, including projects in the United Kingdom, United States, Belgium and the Netherlands, for companies and brands such as VICE Media, Louis Vuitton, Story: We Produce, Berluti and Amstel.

His interest in the development of artistic projects led him to spend a year (2014) working as a Project Manager at Katara Art Center in Doha, Qatar, where he coordinated events and exhibitions involving artists and institutions including Qatar Museums, Doha Film Institute and Qatar Music Academy.

He combines his passion for cinema and philosophy with an ongoing interest in music, which has led him to work as a tour manager and VJ, perform as a pianist in live concerts, and develop music production projects.
