Teaching
Since 2014 he has been linked to teaching with centres such as ESDi, LCI, LABASAD, IED, teaching the subjects of Technical Drawing, Computer Science, Packaging, Multidisciplinary Projects, Ecodesign, Small Household Appliances, Furniture, History of Design and Contemporary Trends and Projects.
Professional experience
Experienced and passionate product designer with ten years of experience in the furniture, lighting and household objects sector. He has collaborated with companies such as Enea, Simón, Arper, Roca, Nike, TED Talks, Qatar Foundation, Paloma Wool, Gimauas, Crevin, Florentine Kitchen Knives, Curated by, Domestic Data Streamers, Gigi Barcelona, Campari, Othr or Babyhom.
After finishing his studies, he went to work in Dubai for a year. He then returned to Barcelona to create, together with four other colleagues, the Gravina studio, which was active until 2020.
Currently and since 2020, with another colleague, he is the designer and founder of Banzai Turba, a product design studio based in Barcelona, which creates objects and things with objects. His work is based on curiosity and humility, we draw inspiration from a wide variety of interests and hobbies and use old and new technologies to create products with context and nuance.
With a deep respect for cultural and artistic influences, Gennís strives to create products that not only meet functional needs, but also celebrate our diverse heritage and foster meaningful connections with the user.
He is committed to creating objects that address today's environmental and cultural challenges and firmly believes that the industry has the power to drive these changes.
