Manel Esclusa al Festival Nuu

Manel Esclusa takes centre stage at two photography festivals

Photographer Manel Esclusa, coordinator of the Specialisation Diploma in Photography and Publications, is featured in two major contemporary photography events this October 2026: the La Nuu International Photography Festival in Rubí and the Panoràmic Festival in Vic.

Esclusa is taking part in the 12th edition of the La Nuu Festival, held in Rubí from 1 to 31 October, with an artistic project exploring the expressive possibilities of images and the boundaries of representation. His participation in the festival highlights a career characterised by experimentation with light, darkness and visual perception.

On 28 October at 7 pm, he will also present the book Amb sense mercat. Crònica d'un silenci at the Architects' Association of Catalonia (COAC) in Vic. The publication brings together his photographs and texts by Víctor Sunyol. The book documents the disappearance of Vic's Municipal Market and offers a visual and literary reflection on collective memory, heritage and urban transformation.

The presentation forms part of the 2026 Panoràmic Festival programme and will feature both authors, architect Ferran Blancafort, and artist and cultural mediator Eva Marichalar-Freixa.

These two initiatives demonstrate the continuing relevance of Manel Esclusa's work and his ability to connect artistic creation, photographic research and education. These areas also come together in his role as coordinator of the Specialisation Diploma in Photography and Publications.
