Guillermo Santomà - Manifesto

Lecture by Guillermo Santomà

Guillermo Santomà, architect, designer and artist, will talk about his references and his way of understanding architecture, space and materials in a talk open to all audiences that will take place on 28 April at 10 am at Eina.

The lecture, which will take place as part of the Projects 6 course of the Bachelor of Design, led by Andrés Peñuela and David Steegmann, will give us an insight into the work and creative processes of Guillermo Santomà.

From construction, Santomà works in different formats that move between design, architecture, sculpture and scenography. He uses simple mechanisms to alter familiar objects in a constant process of deformation, creating complete environments.

His work denotes an interest in the systematic transformation of ways of objectifying, organising, analysing and, therefore, transmitting. It could be said that he is interested in how the production of elements vaguely similar to furniture, as well as chromatic interventions, affects a space.
