Fundacions Ferrer and Eina foster talent through social commitment

Fundacions Ferrer and Eina, Barcelona University Centre of Design and Art, have signed a collaboration agreement to promote initiatives that bring together creativity, research and social commitment. The agreement establishes a shared framework that will enable students to take part in cultural and social projects of public interest, strengthening the connection between academic training and social impact.

Through this partnership, students and emerging creatives will have the opportunity to join initiatives promoted by Fundacions Ferrer, contributing to research, conceptualisation, design and content development processes. The collaboration will provide fresh perspectives and creative approaches to projects linked to culture, human rights and social transformation.

Bringing young talent closer to real-world projects
The agreement stems from the Sr. Miyagi space project, created and coordinated by Yuri Alemany, which aims to develop content in collaboration with students who are completing, or have recently completed, their studies at Eina. Its purpose is to facilitate the transition from academia to professional practice, placing emerging talent at the service of contemporary social and cultural challenges.

For students on the Bachelor in Design programme, this collaboration represents an opportunity to work in real-world settings, enrich their educational experience and contribute to initiatives with a strong transformative purpose. At the same time, Fundacions Ferrer gains access to new creative perspectives for its programmes and strengthens its connection with the next generation of design and arts professionals.

An opportunity to advance initiatives such as Action Palestine
Among the projects that may benefit from this collaborative framework is Action Palestine, an initiative of Ferrer Social Justice dedicated to defending the human rights of the Palestinian people from both a local and global perspective.

Through awareness-raising, education, research, advocacy and international cooperation, Action Palestine promotes a critical, rigorous and transformative understanding of the Palestinian reality. The involvement of young professionals from the fields of design and creative practice can help broaden the reach of these initiatives and support the development of new tools for communication, culture and civic participation.

Building bridges between education, culture and social commitment
The partnership between Fundacions Ferrer and Eina exemplifies the value of alliances between educational institutions and social organisations in addressing contemporary challenges through an interdisciplinary approach.

Through this agreement, both institutions reinforce their commitment to training critical, creative and socially engaged professionals, while creating new opportunities for innovation, participation and knowledge exchange.

The agreement represents a further step in the development of shared projects that place culture, knowledge and social justice at the heart of collective action.
