Premi a la Creativitat Artística Agustí de Semir & Conxa Millán

Eina collaborates with the Fundació Salut Mental CPB Dr. Fàbregas to bring art and mental health together

Eina and the Fundació Salut Mental CPB Dr. Fàbregas have collaborated on the cover design for the book accompanying the 27th edition of the Agustí de Semir & Conxa Millán Artistic Creativity Award, a competition that has promoted creativity as a means of expression, inclusion and awareness-raising in the field of mental health since 1998. This collaboration strengthens the links between education, culture and mental health, highlighting the role of art and design as spaces for connection, expression and collective creation.

The project involved students from Eina's Specialisation Diploma in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques, who submitted 13 proposals by 9 students exploring the concept of 'Nest', understood as a space of refuge, belonging, care and transformation.

The winning proposal, created by Larissa Moraes, depicts the silhouette of a house formed through the handwritten repetition of the word 'Niu' ('Nest' in Catalan). The illustration evokes the diversity of individual identities that come together to create a shared space of welcome and protection.

The collaboration was unveiled during the award ceremony for the 27th edition, held on 22 October at CaixaForum Barcelona. The competition brought together 556 works by people connected to more than 70 services within Catalonia's Public Adult Mental Health and Addiction Network, including drawings, paintings, collages and photographs.

With Eina's support, the project highlights the potential of design and illustration to raise social awareness and connect artistic education with the challenges of mental health.
