Eina is taking part in a new edition of 48h Open House Barcelona, the architecture festival that opens the doors of remarkable buildings and spaces across Barcelona and its surrounding area, bringing architecture closer to the public.
On Saturday 24 October, from 10 am to 7 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to explore Eina Sentmenat and discover the Palau dels Marquesos de Sentmenat, one of the Eina Campus sites.
Located at the foot of Collserola, the Palau dels Marquesos de Sentmenat is a building of medieval origin that has undergone various transformations over the centuries. It has been home to Eina since 1994, following its refurbishment by architects Antoni Ubach and Miquel Espinet.
Today, Eina Sentmenat is a university space dedicated to education, research and creative practice in design and art. Eina offers a Bachelor in Design, master’s degrees, postgraduate programmes, advanced studies and doctoral studies, in an environment where classrooms, workshops and workspaces coexist with the site’s architectural heritage and the natural surroundings of Collserola.
Eina’s participation in 48h Open House Barcelona offers an opportunity to discover this interplay between heritage, architecture and university life, and to explore one of the spaces where Eina’s academic and creative activity takes place every day.
