“Bioclimatic Architecture and Sustainable Materials” with Alventosa Morell Arquitectes

On 10 May, Properties and Uses of New Materials for Design, geared towards Design of Spaces and Product Design, on the 3rd year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, organised the talk entitled “Bioclimatic Architecture and Sustainable Materials” by the Alventosa Morell Arquitectes studio.

Alventosa Morell Arquitectes is an architecture studio based in Barcelona and Lleida comprised of Josep Ma. Alventosa Cuadrat, Marc Alventosa Zaidin and Xavier Morell Jané. They specialise in efficient projects and constructions based on climatic studies and thermal analyses that provide energy savings of more than 70%. Consequently, economic costs are dramatically reduced and user comfort is increased (thermal features, sound, breathability, etc.). They have experience in residential, school, healthcare and hotel architecture, restoration of listed buildings and budgetary management for the optimum economic efficiency of the construction work.
