EINA is calling for teaching posts for the subjects Projects 2, Projects 6 and Design Theory in the second semester of the Bachelor of Design, academic year 2022-2023.
General considerations:
- The subjects have a semester duration (February-June).
- Required qualifications:
- University degree
- Teaching experience in the areas of the subject requested
- PhD (not essential but highly valued).
- You will find more information about the subjects we want to cover below:
Teaching hours: 67,5h
Description
PROJECTS 2 is a second semester subject included in the first year of the EINA degree course. In this course we will approach speculative design and the design of commercial projects. The first approach (speculative) will emphasise the possibilities of future and alternative scenarios in which to carry out plausible projects in order to generate a critical discourse with respect to the present. The second (commercial) approach will focus on the development of projects with the aim of selling and inserting them into the professional and market dynamics of today.
Team:
The course is taught together with 4 other professors from the field of design and critical thinking.
Profile required
The interested person must show the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, as well as in learning processes based on speculative and productive projects through scenarios where projective intelligence and critical capacity guide the meetings and the shared teaching dynamics.
The participation of PhDs in the call will be positively valued.
Teaching hours: 67,5h
Description:
PROJECTS 6 is a project subject that belongs to the Visual Creation and Culture of Design degree. It is conceived as a free approach to design within the options of speculative design, experimental design, service design and commercial design.
The aim of PROJECTS 6 is for students to be able to develop a critical point of view and offer new symbolic visions of the future through design, the construction of narratives and the creative exploration of new creative practices based on technological, scientific and artistic research. The exercise of designing is based on questioning and exploring what the role of the designer will be in the future through the analysis of different current ethical challenges in a totally digitalised society and taking into account the imminent ethical needs posed by technology, fake news, climate emergencies, etc.
Required profile
The person concerned must show the ability to create learning environments where the practice of designing, as well as what is designed, activates processes of social and cultural transformation. Managing a learning community that is capable of challenging established conventions, as well as being able to define the designed devices is required in the interested person's ability.
The participation of PhDs in the call will be positively valued.
Teaching hours: 52,5h
Description:
THEORIES OF DESIGN proposes an approach to the main problems and philosophical concepts involved in art and design, through a critical approach to the themes and foundational texts of these disciplines.
Required profile:
The interested person must show a capacity related to the contents to be taught, as well as a command of methodologies and theoretical frameworks in the field of design and art studies.
The participation of PhDs in the call will be positively valued.
