Tanit Plana

Tanit Plana Pessarrodona (Barcelona, 1975) holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.   

Her research projects and artistic production have received the Ptopres'01 grant from Obra Social "La Caixa", the Descubrimientos Photoespaña 2002 award, Art for Change -Fundació La Caixa- 2012 as well as the Leonardo Grant from the BBVA Foundation in 2016, among others.   

The projects INFRARROJO CERCANO, ESCALA Y FRAGMENTO and THE WOODS OF CODE are on show at the retrospective ES LO QUE ES, curated by Moritz Neumüller at the Sala Canal de Isabel II, produced by the Comunidad de Madrid in the 2018-19 season.  

PART is the first show she is preparing for the Auditori de Barcelona, in which she works on childbirth as a political construction based on images and dance. It will be presented as part of the Grec 2021 Festival.   

Her relationship with the pedagogy of the image has been a constant in her career. She has works in both public and private collections.
