Anna Majó

Graduate in Graphic Design from EINA and the UAB (2002) and updated this qualification to a Bachelor’s degree 2013. Postgraduate diploma in Typography: from Letter Creation to Typesetting, at EINA (2003) Studied the official interuniversity Master’s in “Visual Arts and Education: a “Constructionist” Focus, at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona, in which she studied the intersection of visual arts pedagogy and its repercussions in formal and informal educational settings. In 2014 she began a doctorate within the interuniversity program with a focus in Arts and Education for the universities of Barcelona, Granada and Girona.

Teaching

Has taught Introduction to Design Projects at EINA since 2013 and Graphic Arts since 2014. Previously taught Projects II for the Design degree from 2005-2008.

Professional experience

  • (2001-2002) Practicum at the studio Ruiz + Company.
  • (2002- 2013) Part of the team at Studio Zimmermann, administrating, developing and formalizing visual communication and graphic design projects.
  • From 2014 to 2016 she worked for the European project in teaching innovation *DIYLab — Do It Yourself in Education: Expanding Digital Competence Tono Foster Student Agency And Collaborative Learning. European Commission. Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency. 543177-LLP-1-2013-1-SE-KA3MP.

Research

Currently working on a thesis titled “The Praxis of Visual Narratives as an Epistemological Event” within the framework of “Education in Arts, Museums and Visual Culture: Cultural Policies.” Member of the teaching Innovation group Indaga-t (consolidated by the University of Barcelona *GIDCUB-13/087) and of "Didactics of Design" at EINA.
