Professional / Research Activity

After four years working for Grafica (Madrid / Barcelona) and then Pentagram (London), he set up Mucho, alongside Pablo Juncadella in 2003. Initially, they were responsible for the creative direction of the British paper The Observer (London), combining this work with corporate identity, editorial design and packaging projects at their Barcelona studio. In 2006, they moved to their definitive Barcelona location, from where they work on local and international projects.

The eclectic desire behind Mucho and their interest in experimentation has led them to work with small (Xocoa, Demano, Demasié, Boolab), and multinational clients (Carolina Herrera, BMW, Random House Mondadori, Hachette Filipacci, W Hotels, Philip Morris), to collaborate on cultural projects (Museu Nacional Centre d'Art Reina Sofia, Monumenta o Redesearte Pau) and undertake projects in cities such as Berlin, London, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Mexico City and Madrid.

Mucho has received extensive recognitions from the design world. It has 1Yellow Pencil del D & AD, 12 Laus trophies, 2 Gran Laus trophies, 3 awards from Art Directors Club d'Europa, 1 silver and 1 bronze from the Art Directors Club Mentions (New York) and the award for best editorial supplement of the year from the Magazine Design Awards. The work undertaken by Mucho has appeared in a number of publications, such as El País, Wallpaper Magazine, Elle Decoration, El Mundo, Studio Culture, Editorial Made in Spain, Etapes Grafiques, o Monocle.
