On completion of the Degree in Design, every student should be able to:
Demonstrate that they have and understand knowledge that relates design to culture, the visual arts, aesthetic trends and technological and business environments, both historic and avant-garde.
Apply the knowledge acquired to propose improvements and innovations in the physical and communicative environment, on the basis of conceptualisation and formalisation processes relevant to design, and practise their work in line with the conventions and action guidelines that characterise the professional environment of this discipline.
Interpret relevant data that enable the identification of problems of usage and communication in the everyday environment that can be solved by design, and issue judgements on the basis of reasoned criteria on relevant matters of a social, scientific or ethical nature that affect it.
Convey their proposals in a specialist verbal and visual design language and master the necessary resources and codes to communicate them to the different agents involved (clients, manufacturers, salespeople and non-specialist public).
Develop a high level of autonomy that enables them to continue their learning through advanced training or Master’s courses, be they in the areas of professionalization or research.
